The only problem with Marvel Comics’ Powers is that you don’t really get a recap. Brian Michael Bendis pet project is sans recap page so it’s almost a conciet that you know what the heck is going on. Still, you usually get enough of what’s been happening to keep you up to date. This is a rare instance where that is not the case however. Much of the story was lost on me as I’ve not been able to keep up to date on the story for a while. I admire the writing greatly, but spent too much time playing catchup. If you’re a fan, you’ll love it, if you arent’ a fan, you’ll love it too, but wonder what you’ve missed out on so far.

Marvel Comics has been pumping the Ultimate Origins series for a while now. Issue one doesn’t let you in on much of the secrets, but it surely sets the hook. Check out these first few pages that showcase America’s first attempt at a Cap type character in the Ultimate Universe. Really a great read.

Ultimate Spider-Man kicked off Marvel Comics Ultimate line and the comic has been top notch from the get go. This issue sees a C-level villain manage to get the best of the Webhead and what follows.

New Avengers is providing some of the peripheral stories to Marvel Comics‘ main Secret Invasion storyline. This chapter follows Spidey in the wake of SI2’s dino-rampage. Bring on  Shanna and Ka-Zar.
