From issue 1 this book has been non-stop action and it doesn’t let up in issue 3. Add to that, Spitfire is an alien butt kicker of epic proportions. Really a fun read.

Johnny Storm’s ex-wife Lyla returning from the crevices of obscurity to wreck havoc on the quintet is a perfect example of just that. With Reed and Susan out of the way she’s left to deal with Johnny and Ben “the Thing” Grimm. Of course, Franklin and kid sister Valaria are in tow in this Negative Zone adventure.

Ms Marvel #27 previewMay 26th, 2008, 7:26 pm by Shawn MunguiaMarvel Comic’s “Ms.” namesake has had a solid run, issue #27 is new territory for the character as her last book didn’t make it this far. Volume two of the heroine’s tale is still hot with solid writing and beautiful art by the creative team. Add to that the fact that this is a Secret Invasion tie-in, and it makes this book a must have.

Secret Invasion: Fantastic Four #1 previewMay 10th, 2008, 5:19 pm by Shawn MunguiaMarvel Comics‘ “Secret Invasion” by the Skrull is in full swing and the first family of Marvel is definitely in the thick of it. The FF were the first humans to encounter Skrull in the Marvel U. and those meetings have always gone bad for the green meanies of the galaxy. This title will follow what the FF is up to throughout the Invasion. The ending of issue #1 has a big reveal but you won’t be seeing it here.
