The characters are fun and intrigueing and the art is beautiful. The addition of the character Ink, who gains powers by having tattoos applied, is fantastic. There’s a subplot that really pays off in this issue and many old fan favorites are back. Definitely worth a look.

This is a great jumping on point, you might feel a little out of the loop, but it’s easy enough to catch up.
Ultimate X-Men #95 (preview)June 16th, 2008, 9:00 pm by Shawn MunguiaLast month, Marvel Comics revealed that Ultimate Colossus didn’t gain superhuman strength with his mutation but instead relies on drugs to give him that edge or his body is too weak to make him any more useful than a shield. Ultimate Alpha Flight absconded with his boyfriend North Star, so the big Russian is dead set on getting him back, and some of his fellow mutants are willing to enhance their powers with the same drugs young Rasputin has been availing himself of.

Scott Summers has amassed a solid strike force and they’re on the trail of X-Men gone astray. Really getting interesting at this point too as we get to see the gang in a fight, with Magma no less.
Cable #4 previewJune 2nd, 2008, 4:40 pm by Shawn MunguiaThe son of Scott Summers - by way of a clone, time travel and a virus - has been having a rough time dealing with Bishop while watching out for a baby. The art in this Marvel Comic is beautiful and it’s actually a pretty fun read.
