Marvel Comics is giving a little incite into Warren Worthington with Angel: revelations. The story by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa looks intriguing as does the stylized, and beautiful art by Adam Pollina. The mini-series promises to add detail to the origin story of one of Charles Xavier’s original X-Men.

While Marvel Comics is putting out some solid comics and I’m a huge fan of Hercules, this issue has some truly jaw-dropping moments. Among the “What the hell?” moments is the unveiling of Ultimate Alpha Flight. But take a look at the roster and you’ll have a nice little gasp in there as well. Wolverine #65 previewMay 10th, 2008, 5:17 pm by Shawn MunguiaIssue #65 is the conclusion of the “Get Mystique” storyline in Marvel Comics‘ Wolverine. For those who’ve been waiting for a knock-down-drag-out between Wolvie and a neekid Mystique, this’ll fit the bill. Wolverine #64 previewApril 8th, 2008, 8:54 am by Shawn MunguiaWolverine #64 is the second to last issue, from Marvel Comics, focusing on Wolvie hunting down Mystique to get revenge for her betrayal of the X-Men. The story is by Jason Aaron and art by Ron Garney. Logan #2April 1st, 2008, 9:20 am by Shawn Munguia“Logan” issue No. 2 of the limited series from Marvel Comics is penned Brian K. Vaughn and penciled Eduardo Risso. Issue No. 1 was pretty amazing, does issue No. 2 live up to its predecessor? Read the review Wednesday. ‘Cable’ coolnessMarch 3rd, 2008, 6:59 pm by Shawn Munguia‘Cable’ is a thick slice of cool, but what do you expect when you team a crime writer like Duane Swierczynski with a fantastic penciller like Ariel Olivetti.
The story starts with the titled hero wandering through future Earth protecting the baby that he picked up at the end of the Messiah CompleX series.
I’m not about to spoil that for you. Check it out as the series looks like it’ll be a great ride. Wolvie series previewMarch 3rd, 2008, 6:53 pm by Shawn MunguiaLogan, from Marvel Comics, looks like it’ll be a fun ride despite the fact that not a lot happens in this issue. But it definitely lets you know that it’s going somewhere thrilling. Brian K. Vaughan and Eduardo Risso are credited as storytellers, a term I tend to dig a lot due to my heavy use of it. But it’s also nice to see scribe and scribbler listed side by side. The story ends with a pretty thrilling little cliffhanger for those that know your history. If you have no grasp of what’s come before it may lose some of the gasp factor it had for me. The comic is also available in a black and white variant. Check out this preview of the color comic, then grab the comic Wednesday. ‘Cable’ could be coolFebruary 29th, 2008, 10:07 am by Shawn MunguiaCable is back in a new book courtesy of Marvel Comics. Written by Duane Swierczynski and pencilled by Ariel Olivetti, “Cable” No. 1 hit’s shelves on March 5. My review will go up March 3. Take a look. |
