Ultimate X-Men #94 is probably my must read for the week. While Marvel Comics is putting out some solid comics and I’m a huge fan of Hercules, this issue has some truly jaw-dropping moments. Among the “What the hell?” moments is the unveiling of Ultimate Alpha Flight. But take a look at the roster and you’ll have a nice little gasp in there as well.

Incredible Hercules #117 previewMay 19th, 2008, 7:16 pm by Shawn MunguiaThis has been one of my favorite comics in the wake of Word War Hulk. Marvel Comics‘ prince of power has never been more fun to read and this is the first in a story arc that has Hercules and a few other deities facing the Skrulls’ gods in this Secret Invasion crossover. Ghost Rider #23 previewMay 19th, 2008, 7:01 pm by Shawn MunguiaThis story brings the close to this horror-style story arc, but it’s a helluva ride with flamehead at the helm. One of the more different characters running around in Marvel Comics, Ghost Rider seems to be starting down another interesting road here as well. Black Panther #36 previewMay 19th, 2008, 6:17 pm by Shawn MunguiaThe Black Panther has been an interesting character since he was first created. American Dream #2 previewMay 19th, 2008, 6:01 pm by Shawn MunguiaThere’s alternate Marvel Comics universe, where Peter and Mary Jane have grown middle aged together and have a teen daughter who fights crime as Spider-Girl. And in this universe, the person who has taken up the mantle of Captain America is a gal by the name of American Dream. Check out a preview of the second issue of her title. Captain Britain and MI: 13 #1 previewMay 10th, 2008, 5:18 pm by Shawn MunguiaCaptain Britain and MI:13 is a bit of a mouthful, but it looks like the title will put the UK superhero in the thick of the action for Marvel Comics‘ “Secret Invasion.” |
